For a quarter of a century, The Optimists has stood beside children who dream beyond their circumstances. What began in 2000 as a small Child Sponsorship Program in the United States has grown into a lifeline of education, care, and dignity for thousands of underprivileged children in Bangladesh and beyond.
Every donation, every sponsorship, every act of kindness has shaped a future that once seemed impossible.
With one of the lowest operating costs, we ensure that your support reaches the children directly. Donors receive photographs, academic progress, & even the chance to meet the child they are helping grow.

25 Years ago, The Optimists began with a simple belief, that one child’s dream is worth fighting for. What started with a handful of sponsors has grown into a lifeline for thousands of children, adolescents, and mothers across Bangladesh.

Today, as we celebrate our 25th anniversary, our mission is stronger than ever. We envision a Bangladesh where every child gets the chance to study, feel safe, and imagine a future filled with hope. For the next generation, and the next, we remain committed to lifting lives, one story at a time.
Our Goal
For 25 years, The Optimists has stood beside children who’ve lost their pathways to hope, children affected by poverty, broken homes, or the absence of parents.
Our goal today is the same as the day we began: to give a child the chance to dream again. Through education, care & the opportunities provided by CSP & SSP, we strive to protect childhood, rebuild confidence and open doors to a future filled with promise.

How We Help
Child Sponsorship Program (CSP)
Supports students in grades 9–10 and Higher Secondary College / vocational institutes.
Protects children from abuse, neglect & child labor.
Provides education, tuition, books & medical care.
Special Sponsorship Program (SSP)
Supports academically talented students pursuing higher education.
Covers college/university education in fields like medicine, engineering, science, technology & agriculture.
Ensures financial barriers don’t limit potential.
Mentorship Program
Digital Marketing Training for sponsored & selected students.
Free for eligible students, teaching practical skills for future careers.
Laptops & PCs provided to needy participants.
